Redcore Linux April 2026 Test ISOs - Addressing High CPU Usage

Hello everyone,

The April 2026 test ISOs are now available. This cycle focuses specifically on troubleshooting the high CPU usage reported in the March test release. To isolate the cause, we are providing two distinct images:

v1 (Standard): This is a direct evolution of the March test release. It includes the latest updates but retains the standard configuration. We expect the CPU spikes to persist here, serving as our baseline for comparison.

v2 (CPU Fix): This version implements specific configuration changes designed to mitigate the high idle loads reported last month.

If you encountered performance issues or unusual spikes in the March release—or if you see them currently in April v1—please test v2 and report your findings.

These are test images; please backup your data before installation.

Please share your htop results in this thread to help us verify the fix.

Thank you for helping us polish the next stable release!
