installing gmic

Hello,
first at all thank you for Redcore Linux. I waited for a long time to try something derivated from Gentoo without its complexity. Many years ago I tried Sabayon on a Pentium 4 but I died before libreoffice was emerged.

Now I'm back thanks to a formula from the Necronomicon and I installed Redcore on a VM .

I have GIMP installed, and I need Gmic. I didn't find it, therefore I installed the flatpak version (first the oldest then the newest), but:
-as a standalone app, I can't find it in the menu, nor cli
-it isn't installed as a Gimp plugin

It's the first time I use flatpak btw...
I gave a look at the original Gentoo package, but... it has disappeared from the repo... I quickly red smtabout a new version coming, but I'm not sure I was in a hurry.
Anyway, I haven't been able to let the flatpak vers. work on my box. Any suggestion? Tnx

Re: installing gmic

You likely need to install GIMP as a flatpak as well. Flatpaks are sandboxed, so they don't interact with the rest of the system. If that works, you can uninstall the native GIMP package.
