How to switch to master profile?
You have promised new ISO. I would like to install redcore to another machine....and ISO is old and needs a lot of upgrade
i have found the solution. On mandriva rolling release. After update to 6.2 KDE plasma wont login to X. ( wayland still works ). Guilty is one weather widget. Very stupid bug. I have replaced it by one new weater wigdet.
hello. Mesa was updated 08/10. Plasma was updated to 6.2.0. After that X does not work. mesa-amber did not help. i965_dri.so also does not work. I have no idea what is wrong. SDDM was broken after the last upgrade plasma but i repaired it... Maybe should i reinstall system ? But there is no new iso. My system is runing since 2019. After upgrade to plasma 6 there are problems. Nobody is checking how system working?
on the arch linux forum there is a mention of a bug in the latest mesa... Simultaneous installation of mesa-amber and mesa causes nothing to work
I found a solution. I installed mesa-amber. It turned out that neither wayland nor XORG would start. I copied i965.so from the /usr/lib64/dri folder to home/usr/. I uninstalled mesa-amber. I copied the i965 driver itself back to /usr/lib64/dri. And everything works. The last mesa update lost the i965 driver. Its reported to the ARCH linux user.
its strange i have changed nothing in my system just upgraded system
also from the same file.:
AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib64/dri/i965_dri.so failed (/usr/lib64/dri/i965_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
[ 11.224] (EE) AIGLX error: unable to load driver i965
i can see only black screen and mouse coursor
old Xorg.log
xf86CloseConsole: KDSETMODE failed: Input/output error
[ 54.716] (WW) xf86CloseConsole: VT_GETMODE failed: Input/output error
[ 54.716] (WW) xf86OpenConsole: VT_GETSTATE failed: Input/output error
xorg does not work after the last upgrade 02/10/24
only wayland works
after upgerade to plasma 6 according to your post system works very unstable. Plasma has many bugs. Notepad widgets not feet dimension. I have problem with screen resolution which changes, no sound on startup, etc many a little bugs... Its the worse plasma 6 implementation from other distros. (opensuse, arch, kaos, manajro.... )
When will it be new iso with plasma 6. I dont want upgrade system. It takes a lot of time.
Ok. When new iso with plasma 6 and new pro
file?
The system is up to date; no package upgrades are required...
There is no package update since 1.5 month...i think from june
dated 08/04/2024
I have
308 sources upgrades and only 66 binary upgrades. When will it be changed? I have 2 core CPU and wont compile 308 eubilds
Gentoo switched to 23.01 . What about redcore switch? Profile 17.1 is valid to june 2024
